Tim Graham and Rose Lippard
Tim Graham and Rose Lippard perform traditional British songs sourced from both text and their favourite recordings. Having met each other through a mutual friend who thought they might get along, Tim and Rose have been sharing music for the last three years and are now starting to perform together with a mutual respect for each other’s talents and a love of the music they work with. Their track ‘Lankin’ was warmly received on the Leigh Folk Festival sampler CD this year “Rosemary Lippard & Tim Graham [deliver] a superlative account of the classic ballad Long Lankin … I could almost swear I was hearing an early Eliza Carthy.” (fatea-records.co.uk)
Rose’s vocals have gained comparison to Anne Briggs and she also has been collaborating with Steven Collins (Owl Service) on his new project Country Parish Songs, listen to a track from there début E.P here
Tim and Rose have just released a new E.P which can be bought here
“The magical calibre of Tim’s accomplished touch on the guitar and the natural simplicity of Rose’s archetypal ‘folk vocal’ is a rare and treasured combination” Folkwords.com
